Carewest kindly sent us a warm and thoughtful card to express their sincere appreciation for our Youthful Spark Christmas concert. Their heartfelt message acknowledged the joy, festive spirit, and sense of togetherness that the concert brought to their community. We were deeply touched by their kind words and are truly honored that our performance was able to brighten the holiday season for their residents, families, and staff.

On Dec 23, 2025, Our Youthful Spark team visited Carewest again this holiday season. Even in Calgary’s frosty weather, our volunteers brought warmth and joy to the seniors through music and heartfelt conversations. We played guzheng, piano, and violin, and sang classic holiday songs like Jingle Bells and The Twelve Days of Christmas. We also brought 3D printed ornaments and made hundreds of Christmas cards to share with seniors, each one filled with encouragement and holiday wishes.

On June 21, 2025, Youthful Spark proudly partnered with Sonata Circle Society to raise $1,195 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
Through an inspiring concert by our incredibly talented performers, we shared warmth, healing, and hope—bringing awareness to the needs of children receiving care at ABCH.

Our volunteers really embraced the compassionate Christmas spirit in Calgary's frostly weather to not only play music to cheer up seniors, but also provide words of encouragement through giving over hundred cards to different seniors. We played guitar and piano, sang the songs of ginger bells, twelve days of Christmas shooting star in summer etc. Great job volunteers! Happy Holidays!

Our YS continues teaching basic English speaking classes to the Chinese immigrant seniors in order to help them integrate into Canadian society and enlighten their lives during the pandemic. The seniors loved the classes and found them helpful.

During the summer of 2022, YS's ontario branch fundraised and donated another $500 worth of food to Oakville foodshare, a non-profit organization that gives food handouts to those who need it. We’re always looking out for opportunities to protect the vulnerable in our community.
YS sent cards with handwritten messages to the senior residents at the nursing home in Simpsonville, South Carolina. We hope to lift their spirits and remind them that people are thinking of them.
Amazing YS kids! We hosted our concert for Carewest Signal Pointe Senior Centre. It was such a fun time sharing the melody with our community. Our talented kids played piano, violin, cello and brought lots of joy to the seniors!
